1. The Virtual Coach Manual in Google Classroom
- Initial review of all the content (2-hour initial commitment)
- This is an ongoing tool for reference and resources that your coaches should refer back to, as needed.
2. Enroll your coach in Virtual KPT for the appropriate month’s trainings. KPT virtual sessions are open to all location teams for unlimited monthly participation.
Step 4: Synchronous Training: 20 Hours Shadowing Coach
- Week 1 Goal: Coach will confidently lead warm-ups and cool-downs for all age-groups with the support of an experienced coach.
- Week 2 Goal: Coach will confidently lead most green sports with the support of an experienced coach.
- Week 3 Goal: Coach will continue to grow in confidence with all class components and additional sports.
- Week 4 Goal: Coach will lead full classes on his/her own, for multiple age-groups.
- Week 5 Goal: Coach is comfortable and confident with teaching classes without the direct support from another coach.
Step 5: Ongoing Quality Control and Professional Development
- Provide continual coach feedback through ongoing evaluations. Each location is assigned a location-specific folder for capturing coach evaluation data.

- Team quality evaluations are important for maintaining a high-quality product through ongoing and support feedback.
- Each franchise location has a folder for collecting program quality data.
- Steps for tracking your team data are reviewed in the video below. These steps allow team leaders to maintain consistent and routine feedback and follow-up of your coaches, in addition to various patterns and themes that may become evident over time to better manage the growth and support for each coach.
